Month 3 down 4 more to go!

Well I had some down time this weekend as I had minor surgery so I decided to distract myself and work on my Month 3 blocks. The pinwheels went together so easily I was cruisin' right along, rather smugly, but came to a little bump in the road when I tried to finish the block that goes in between the pinwheels. Since the first ones went together so well I stopped being really alert and just started speeding along because I wanted to get done and that's when I made the mistake.
That one mistake made me have to rearrange all my next months blocks because I needed one more brown and one more green charm. I guess Mom was right and haste does really make waste. Rats! Oh well, I got my Month 3 blocks done and while they aren't perfect I'm proud of them. This makes 2 new blocks I hadn't ever sewn before, if I include the others that's a total of four new blocks this quilt so far. Here's a picture of my design wall with all my blocks so far:
I also decided to make Vicki's Cotton Harvest pattern. I'm using both our first Indigo collection and the new one mixed together. My husband really likes this one! I've only got as far as laying it out and cutting some charm squares in half but it's been fun. Here are the charm square blocks all laid out:

Also I took a picture of what happens when quilts are used at my house. You can't even get the quilt on your lap and the chair reclined before my cat Barkley is trying to secure his place on your lap. This is my husband Brian with his favorite quilt and our cat in one of his favorite places.

I hope you are doing better. I had problems with my first set of blocks. I did not clip the bunny ears off which left extra bulk and it resulted in reverse sewing. The next 2 quilt sets went together better and I knew what I was doing. You have a nice looking husband and cute cat.

Looks like my house house, Teri. . . quilt blocks everywhere and a husband relaxing with a quilt and the family pet! I love what you're doing with the Cotton Harvest pattern. Those two lines really look good together.
