block 2 done

This blogging is not easy. I'm hoping the picture show up. I took them at night and they are not the best lighting. After seeing everyones blocks I realized that I could use different color combinations then the original pattern. I am working on 3 quilts with 3 different looks. I figured if I'm making one quilt  2 more is no big deal. Just keep on chain sewing.

Diana - Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration - never would have thought to use other colors! Now I can't wait to make my second version of it.

Those are beautiful pieces. I especially love the batik colors. You have a good idea going there.

It is good to see that I am not the only glutton for quilt projects. I have a quilt top ready to quilt for my grandson, but finished it just before the holidays and didn't want to get it started at that time. Then I knew I had better get started on the birthday quilt for one of the granddaughters. I had already bought a quilt kit at the Quilt Festival here in Houston and am dying to get my hands into that one (beautiful batiks). I couldn't resist getting into this quilt-along project. Shortly after that, I got a call from the local quilt store that I had won a drawing for $100 to use on another quilt and am excited to do that one, too.

It will all get done eventually!

Keep up the good work. You inspire us all!
